The race will be held once again at the famous Misano Circuit, from 13th to 15th September 2019. Last year, the San Marino MotoGP became a race to remember for Moto2 rider Romano Fenati, whose sabotage of rival Stefano Manzi’s brake lever during the race cost him his position on the Marinelli Spiners team and lead to his immediate retirement. The MotoGP race was won by Andrea Dovizioso, and followed by the 2018 Champion Marc Marquez in second place. LCR Honda closed the podium, thanks to Cal Crutchlow’s third place. The race extended Marquez’ strong lead in the Championship, whilst Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi would continue to compete in a tight battle for second and third place.
The circuit is a fan favourite for fans of Rossi, with the rider’s colours dressing most grandstands on this, his home race. Exhilarating and challenging, the San Marino MotoGP never disappoints the avid fans of the sport!
