RACE WEEKEND TRAVEL & PARKING

Getting to Albert Park Circuit

Albert Park Circuit

    Parking

Parking is not available in or around the circuit (except for certain hospitality guests) and so driving is not advisable. If you do need to travel by car, park in the city or suburbs and use public transport to get to the circuit.

    Coach & Bus

A range of bus services take you close to the circuit or into the city centre to take the tram.

If you are travelling from Melbourne Airport, the Skybus leaves from the T2 Arrivals Bus Stop to Collins St in Melbourne, every 5 minutes. The journey time is 20 minutes and will cost you approximately £9. You can then catch the Tram (line 12) to Carter St/Mills St close to the circuit, for about £2. The tram journey usually takes 13 minutes.

    Taxi

As parking is not permitted at the circuit, you may wish to consider travelling to the circuit by Taxi. Last year, Taxi drop-off and pick up points were located at entrance gates 1, 2, 5, 8 and 10. Uber ranks were also located around the circuit at gates 1 and 2 (along Canterbury Rd), gates 3 and 5 (along Albert Rd) and gate 10 (along Fitzroy St).

    Train

The easiest way to access Albert Park is to use the free tram system that operates from central Melbourne to Albert Park on all four days of the event. This is available for all Grand Prix ticket holders. There are different tram routes to choose from, depending on your preferred entry gate.
