Getting to Red Bull Ring
Getting to Red Bull Ring
If you plan to drive to the circuit, from Graz take the A9 towards Salzburg. At the St Michael junction, follow the S36 towards Klagenfurt/Knittelfeld/Judenburg. Exit at Zeltweg Ost/Spielberg then take the first left and then left again onto the L503. You will need to follow the road down for around 2km then turn right at the exit for the Red Bull Ring.
Parking is not available directly at the circuit however, there will be parking facilities next to the S36, around a 10-15 minutes walk from the circuit. This parking will be free of charge.
For every 4 Start-Finish tickets purchased you will receive a parking sticker that allows you to park in a reserved area. This will automatically be added to your basket.
In 2017, buses ran from both Knittelfeld train station and Judenburg bus station directly to the circuit over the race weekend. This information is not yet confirmed for 2018, but we anticipate this remaining similar.
Buses from Judenburg Bus Station ran every 20 minutes between 8:00am and 12:00pm and every 40 minutes from 12:00pm onwards on all 3 days.
Buses from Knittlefeld train station ran as follows:
The closest train station to the circuit is Zeltweg Station, which is around 6km away. Alternatively Knittelfeld Station is around 9km away from the track, and a shuttle service is run from here to the track.
If travelling from Graz, the journey to Knittelfeld takes around 1 hour 30 minutes and has one change, at Bruck an der Mur. Trains run approximately once an hour.
Helicopter transfers are available from Graz or Vienna. Transfers from Graz will depart from Graz 'Weinzold' Heliport, around 10-15 minutes outside the city of Graz and the transfer will be around 20 minutes. Transfers from Vienna depart from Vienna 'Schwechat' Airport and the transfer takes around 50 minutes.
All transfers are on a return basis and transfer prices are based on the whole helicopter, and can be for up to 5 people. Please be aware that the price will be the same for 1 person or 5 people. If you have a group larger than 5, please contact us to discuss the options.
There are two park and bike locations close to the circuit. One is located at G'Schloss Mortal, around 7.3km from the circuit, and the second is located at Weisskirchen, around 9.7km from the circuit.
To use these services, you will need to take your own bikes, which can be parked for free right at the entrance of the circuit. Please be aware that all bikes are left at the owners risk.
