Getting to Red Bull Ring
Getting to Red Bull Ring
If you plan to drive to the circuit, from Graz take the A9 towards Salzburg. At the St Michael junction, follow the S36 towards Klagenfurt/Knittelfeld/Judenburg. Exit at Zeltweg Ost/Spielberg then take the first left and then left again onto the L503. You will need to follow the road down for around 2km then turn right at the exit for the Red Bull Ring.
Parking is not available directly at the circuit however, there will be parking facilities next to the S36, around a 10-15 minutes walk from the circuit. This parking will be free of charge.
For every 4 Start-Finish tickets purchased you will receive a parking sticker that allows you to park in a reserved area. This will automatically be added to your basket. Please note this offer finishes on the 19th June.
Regional buses run more regularly than usual to compensate for the increase in passengers over race weekend. Additionally, free shuttle buses are expected run from both Knittelfeld train station and Judenburg bus station directly to the circuit over the race weekend.
In 2018, buses from Judenburg Bus Station ran every 30 minutes between 8:00am and 12:00pm and every 45 minutes from 12:00pm until 16:00, then 30 minutes onwards on all 3 days.
Buses from Knittelfeld train station ran every 15 minutes between 8:00am and 12:00pm and every 30 minutes from 12:00pm until 16:00, then 15 minutes onwards on all 3 days.
The most convenient train station to the Red Bull Ring is Knittelfeld. Most major cities in Austria offer services running to Knittelfeld. More information about the frequency and prices of these trains can be found on the OEBB website. From the train station you can transfer onto shuttle buses to take you directly to the track.
If travelling from Graz, the journey to Knittelfeld takes around 1 hour 30 minutes with some services requiring a change at Bruck an der Mur. Trains run approximately once an hour.
Helicopter transfers are available from Graz or Vienna. Transfers from Graz will depart from Graz 'Weinzold' Heliport, around 10-15 minutes outside the city of Graz and the transfer will be around 20 minutes. Transfers from Vienna depart from Vienna 'Schwechat' Airport and the transfer takes around 50 minutes.
All transfers are on a return basis and transfer prices are based on the whole helicopter, and can be for up to 5 people. Please be aware that the price will be the same for 1 person or 5 people. If you have a group larger than 5, please contact us to discuss the options.
To enjoy the stunning nature over the last few kilometres to the racing circuit, we recommend taking advantage of the Park & Bike options. There are two Park & Bike car parks available close to the Red Bull Ring for those who choose to swap the steering wheel for the saddle:
To use these services, you will need to take your own bikes, which can be parked for free right at the entrance of the circuit. Please be aware that all bikes are left at the owners risk.
