Introduction

Circuit de Catalunya is located 20 km north-east of the city of Barcelona. Excellent transport links makes travel and accommodation straightforward.

Airport

Barcelona International Airport is located about 12km from the city centre. Its close proximity means getting into the city is very easy and options include train, aerobus, car rental, and taxi.

Accommodation

Barcelona is the obvious choice for accommodation; it has a vast array of accommodation options and good access to the circuit. Furthermore, Barcelona has an excellent reputation amongst tourists as a holiday destination. For those interested in camping, Circuit de Catalunya hosts camping facilities for tents and motorhomes over F1 weekend - find these under 'Transport & Parking' in the menu.

Getting to the Circuit

The Circuit de Catalunya is easily accessible from Barcelona, by road and rail:

• Train - take the train to Montmelo station. From here you can either take a 25 minute walk to the circuit or jump on the free shuttle bus. Please note: there is usually one one or two shuttle vehicles so there may be a wait to use it.
• Bus - public bus services do not run directly to the circuit but they do stop at Montmelo station as above.
• Coach - private coach services run a service between Barcelona and the circuit entrance on race weekend.
• Taxi - taxis travel to and from the circuit main entrance.
• Car - from Barcelona, take the C17 road to the circuit. Circuit parking is available but make sure you buy a parking pass in advance for the Formula 1, where as parking is free on MotoGP weekend. Road directions are included with your booking.
