On the 9th October 2010 Action Against Hunger will be holding their annual auction and dinner fundraising event. This year we hope to raise £200,000 for our life-saving programmes around the world.
One of the prizes in said auction is 2 VIP paddock passes to the 2011 British Grand Prix at Silverstone donated by Bernie Ecclestone. The auction is open to anyone prior to the event for advanced bids.

Last year’s Fine Wine Auction raised a record sum of £140 000 and this year we hope to exceed the £200k mark. In 2009, for every £1 received, 92p was spent on our charitable activities. In particular, we launched an emergency response to the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti in January. We have since ploughed nearly 1 million euros back into the local economy via the distribution of food vouchers, and over 1.3 million gallons of safe drinking water are distributed to families every single day. However, much more is needed as our programme now moves from an emergency response into sustainable, long-term programmes that help those most in need in Haiti.
