HUNGARIAN FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX

Introduction

The Hungaroring is located in the hillsides outside of Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

Airport

Ferihegy International Airport is located 16km south of the city of Budapest. Taxis are available and a regular bus service takes about 40 minutes to get into the city. If you're planning to drive into Hungary, make sure you're fully prepared as the border controls can be very strict for drivers.

Accommodation

The city of Budapest is relatively close to the circuit and is the favoured place to stay. It offers a good range of accommodation options to cater for all budgets.

Getting to the Circuit

The Hungaroring circuit is located 20km north-east of Budapest in rural surroundings. Consider the following options for reaching the circuit:

• Train - there is no train directly to the circuit. However, Szilasliget station is located approximately a mile away from which you can walk or take a taxi.
• Bus - the circuit provides a free return bus service from Árpád Bridge in Budapest to the circuit for ticket holders. The bridge can be reached on the metro network.
• Taxi - BudaTaxi, Taxi4, and Tele5Taxi are the official Hungaroring taxi companies and have fixed prices from Budapest over race weekend. Make sure you agree the price prior to the journey.
• Car - the circuit is out of town but relatively easy to reach by car and offers free parking to grandstand ticketholders (until capacity is reached).
