Airport

The nearest airport is Koln-Bonn (Cologne) about 80km from the circuit. Alternatively, you can fly into Dusseldorf which lies 120km from the Nürburgring circuit. The usual taxi and bus services will get you into the nearby towns, but you may want to consider renting a car to get to the far-off circuit.

Where to Stay

The circuit lies out-of-town and nearby accommodation consists of smaller hotels and inns. You may want to book these early to secure a place. If you'd prefer to stay in the city then Koblenz lies 60km from the circuit or Cologne is 90km away.

Car Rental

Car rental is available from the above airports from the major companies. This may be a good option because of the distance to the circuit and ease of transport. See below about getting to the circuit.

Getting to the Circuit

The Nürburgring circuit is set in a scenic rural location, at least 60km from the nearest city. This can make getting there more difficult but the space benefits car drivers. You may want to consider the following:

• Train - you can take a train to the Nürburgring, but you may have to arrange a transfer from the station.
• Bus - a free bus service runs between Koblenz and the Nürburgring circuit.
• Taxi - taxis can go to and from the circuit. However, this may be expensive if you are not staying nearby. Try to arrange a pickup in advance to avoid waiting around at the end.
• Car - the Nürburgring has plentiful parkingand it's free! Driving is a popular option for this circuit, but as with most Grand Prix events, there can be traffic congestion.
