Monaco 2011

Tribune T High
By Paul mountain, 13 Jan 2012
Great experience.great seats.tribune T high and UNDER COVER. Three rows from the back opposite the pits.could see all the pre race preparation and celebs.the balcony above provided shade on what was a hot day.and obviously shelter if it had rained.not cheap by any means but well worth it. The renault/ferrari pits were directly opposite.

Monaco Grand Prix May 2009

Tribune K-M
By Dianne , 06 Dec 2011
All excellent but people should be aware that you cannot take tins of beer in your bags - I can understand why no glass but tins should be allowed - we bought some then had to dump them in a bin at security !! On saying that - the small tins of beer on sale within the seating area was cheap enough.

Monaco 2011

By R & m Riley, 11 Oct 2011
Overall it was a great weekend, great views of the pits and seeing the drivers/family, commentators amongs other famous faces. The race was extended, which made being in the blazing sun a bit longer a little uncomfortable.

The journey was so organised getting the train and walking straight to the circuit you could get there and back with your eyes closed. Helps to book train ticket 30 days with Rail Europe in advance.
Well done to Book F1

Great weekend, seats were in a very hot area !! as they did not have any cover, but great for the suntan. Thoroughly enjoyed the event, one of the best sporting events I have ever attended, tickets were fine, felt confident that I had booked securely with yourselves, other people did have tickets from Thomas Cook, etc but I was more than happy with your allocation, although I would have like to be seated on the end of the row rather than in the middle.

Total Swizz!

General Admission - Rocher
By Sara Blacker, 29 Jun 2011
It has taken me this long to write as I needed to calm down in order to write something constructive - I'm still struggling! The whole thing was a total farce and waste of money. If you are good at rock climbing or climbing trees then you may be ok on what was explained to me as a grass banked verge! Try a rock face and that should give you more of a realistic idea of what to expect. Get there early we were advised - 4 days ok? The whole area was covered in chairs which had been chained to the only extremely small section that showed an inch of the track. The only constructive way to describe my experience would be to think that you have bought a ticket to see the Grand Prix, but the only access you get to is to Monaco. The whole race track is boarded up and if you dare look through any of the holes then the police will move you on. One very dissatisfied customer!!!

Monaco Race

General Admission - Rocher
By Esho, 20 Jun 2011
Because I was a late booking, all other areas were allegedly booked out. There was a lack of toilet facilities which meant a 1 hour wait to urinate, highly unsuitable. Where were the potaloos? We had to sit on a dirt hill andd hang onto tree roots all day just to see a very minute glimpse of cars going by, unable to even get a photo. For the money we spent, it was a total waste of time. Loved the atmosphere, but were really disappointed with the position, and after attending several Melbourne grand Prix races over the years would never consider monaco as an option. Sitting on our patch of dirt on the hill and having little access to drinks, food or toilet facilities, we were amazed to see that the grandstands had empty seats! But, for 500 euros we condsidered this outragious. So, even though the weekend was amazing, our position was crap and we will never consider M onaco again as an option. Give me Melbourne corporate seats anyday over this.

Monaco GP

Tribune K High
By Harry, 12 Jun 2011
This was my first experience of the Monaco GP. I have attended other F1 GP meetings but none on a 'street circuit' format. What struck me was the close proximity to the action that was afforded to the spectators. It made it all very exciting.
Race day for the 2011 event saw the sun baking the entire place and the seats we had (Tribune K) offered no shade from the sun so be sure to consider sun protection.
The seats themselves were very good indeed which covered the Tabac corner. We could also see the cars ascend the hill towards Casino after turn 1. The next we saw the cars was when they exited the tunnel. We could see them come down the hill (lose them as they negotiated the chicane) and pick them up again as they approached Tabac. We could follow the cars past the swimming pool and lose them as they approached Rasscasse...the penultimate turn prior to the start finish line.
All in all very good seats with a view of lots of the track as described above.
BUT it is a long time to sit on a plastic bench!! Some sort of cusion is advisable if you want to remain comfortable.
We were staying in Juan Les Pain which involved a 45 min. train journey to Monaco. Signposting to the seating area is very good so no problems there.
After the race the train back to JLP was very very busy. We left Monaco about 21.30. Don't know if other train times will be any quieter..I suspect not!!
A fantastic weekend.

So lucky with the weather!

Tribune N
By Gill, 09 Jun 2011
A wonderful experience! Tribune N was perfect in that you could see the boats behind you as well as the race. It was a small stand. I think we were next to "O" stand which had a better view of the big screen but was very high and exposed. Not good if you are not happy with heights! The catering/drinks facilities at these stands are limited.

Cheap place

General Admission - Rocher
By Roland, 09 Jun 2011
It is a cheap and rather uncomfortable place, but the view of the track was great. We could find a parking place close at Fontvieille Commercial Center. Parking was 22 euro for the race afternoon. It is advised to arrive early to have a good place and have some blanket to sit on. It's very hard to find a good place if you arrive later, and you may not see anything. If you want to take good photos a high zoom camera is needed, we used 20x but it was hardly enough. I'm glad that there was no rain, in a rainy day this place is nearly useless as most of the places with good view are on mud surface.

2011

General Admission - Rocher
By N Mansell, 08 Jun 2011
Book F1 said my tickets would be sent to me but they were not. I had to collect them in Monte Carlo. Book F1 apologised and refunded the postage.

It's not a great view from Rocher and the good spots are snapped up early but you get to see a bit of the race. Take water and a hat with you.

Good view but quite far away

General Admission - Rocher

If you're organised it's fine. Get there early, but Rocher is survival of the fittest and expect to be quite far from the action.

The Monaco Grand Prix 2011

By JAL, 06 Jun 2011
We were in the K Stand (High + had Brilliant seats) & enjoyed a really good view over the Marina as well as some of the Track, we could not see the Pit Lane were we were (we knew this before we got there), but we saw a lot of action on the Track in front of us.
There was a Screen that we could watch also, but it was not as big as I expected it to be, but you could still see it ok. We couldn't hear any commentary once the race started as too noisy but you could still see what was happening.
You do need ear plugs - I found that the ones supplied that I ordered would not stay in my ears (Cotton wool may work just as well), but saying that I love to hear the roar of the Engines!!.
We did not stay in Monaco - we did a four day Cruise that stopped at Monaco for the Grand Prix, so cannot say anything about Hotels & Food etc. - our Cruise Ship was excellent & we were Tendered in - it was quite a walk though if you had Mobility problems (approx 1/2 hour walk depending on the Stand you were aiming for), & we missed the signs to the K Stand to start with - but there were plenty of Police & Guides to Direct you to the right area's.
At the start of the race everyone started to stand up at the front as soon as the cars came into view to take photo's forcing people behind them to also stand up to see as their view was restricted - but this was controlled very quickly by the Ticket Stand Staff so everyone remained seated & could see the race.
Quite long queues for food & drinks under the Stands, but they did seem to move quite quickly & lots of people walking around selling programmes (10 Euro's).
On leaving the Stands it was very crowded & took quite a while to exit - but it was very organised & orderly due to the Ticket Stand Staff's Directions & monitoring.
We enjoyed a Brilliant day at the Monaco Grand Prix that will not be forgotten very quickly & would love to repeat the experience again one day.

Monaco 2011 Rocher

General Admission - Rocher
By Gordon Munro, 06 Jun 2011
The more the trees grow, the less you see from Rocher. Still I wanted to get the atmosphere and experience a Db rating higher than Sharapova. And it was - twice as loud as Melbourne. Ear defenders were well used.
