Introduction
Located in the city of Jeollanam-do (Yeongam) in South Korea’s Sampo District, Korea International Circuit is at the heart of the Southwestern Coast’s tourism, leisure and business development. A popular tourism destination due to its proximity to picturesque Yeongam Lake, the area is also close to the Yellow Sea.
Airport
All international flights connect with Seoul Incheon International Airport which is approximately 335km from the circuit. From here you can take a domestic flight to Muan Airport (30 minutes drive) or Gwanju Airport (70 minute drive).
Accommodation
Hotels close to the circuit in Jeollanam-do may be harder to find, but the cities of Gwanju and Mokpo are not too far and offers a much larger range of accommodation options.
Getting to the Circuit
You may want to consider the following options in getting to the circuit:
- Bus - A bus service is available from Seoul Airport. This takes approximately 5 hours.
- Car - Parking is available at the circuit. There will also be additional parking at Mokpo, Muan and Yeongam, districts located close to the circuit.
- Shuttle bus - A shuttle bus service will operate at regular intervals over the race weekend from the circuit to the nearby airports, bus and train stations.
- Taxi - Taxis can be hired from outside Gwanju Airport. This is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to travel.
