Good Circuit

Bronze : T7
By Martin Lunn, 26 Jul 2011
Nurburgring, a good circuit, some of the main access roads were very busy on race day, the Police are not the best organised and stay in their vans if its raining. Stewards were quick and efficent on the gates. Once inside everything is clean, plenty of clean toilets. At the main grandstand a large permanent building holds the merchandise stalls and good food. Had seats on T7, a decent view but think that T8 would have been slightly better.

German f1

Bronze : T10b
By Ben norton, 26 Jul 2011
Wow what a weekend.Six guys most going to their first Gp and we couldn't have asked more. Book f1.com could not have been more helpful, not only did they supply us with some great tickets but also with useful info on timetables for local transport, and without being asked they just sent us several e-mails with everything we needed to know.something to bare in mind for the nurburgring it is quite hilly so if camping as we were try to camp as close as you can to your seats as it could be quite a demanding 30 minute walk.but all in all a fantastic weekend, thanks bookf1.com we will be in touch soon

Excellent

Bronze : T10b
By Louise, 26 Jul 2011
Having attended many GP's in both Britain and abroad, the Nurburgring is definitely one of the best circuits. Atmosphere is great, lots going on all day and evening. View from stand-brilliant, long uphill corner and straight, cars going off on bend and overtaking. Facilities superb, lots of them and clean and tidy, unlike other circuits. Be prepared for rain showers!! Only advice, check your stand -many stands have places and not seats therefore you may need a cushion to sit on the concrete!! Cash not accepted at food/drink stalls, you need to get "ringcard" and load with euros, available from circuit staff-you get your money back in euros if any left...Everyone speaks perfect English..

nurburgring

Bronze : T5b
By Richard Bathe, 26 Jul 2011
as first timers to the nurburgring we had high expectations however having been directed by police off the nice clear road and onto the 5 mile queue to the circuit things did not start to well. On arrival at the car park total chaos was the order of the day poor directions and a proper fight for the limited shuttle bus. In the circuit long queues for food and drink and to add insult to injury the "grandstand" is in reality concrete steps and as you may imagine not that good on a cold damp day. Having attended Budapest in previous years the Nurburgring will not be seeing us again not what you would expect from good old fashioned German efficiency.

Just a great F1 week end! (but I think Paddock Club is a better place to stay)

Best F1 regards, Per, and I will be back (Hockenheim 2012, PC)

German Grand prix Nurburgring 2011

Gold : T3
By Ian W, 26 Jul 2011
We had a fantastic weekend, with superb seats in the T3 grandstand directly opposite the pit exit with a view down to turn 1. I can recommend this stand as you are allowed to walk along the top and stand wherever you like, so you can watch the grid forming from directly above it and then move down to near turn 1 for the start. Particular highlights were the pit walk on Thursday, being allowed on to the track at the end and, of course, Lewis Hamilton winning the race.

exciting weekend

Bronze : T10a
By Kuba, 26 Jul 2011
My "first time" on F1, very exciting and unforgettable. View from T10a maybe not perfect, but with possibility of changing angles by walking on the top of the tribune. However The chance of visiting all the tribunes on Friday, including main straight was fantastic. Unfortunately that wasn't possibile yet on Saturday.
Now planning the next year Hungaroring :)

Excellent with eye catching logo

Bronze : T5b
By Paul, 25 Jul 2011
Overall it was very good and I would book my tickets again with bookF1.com. It was a good experience and the viewing was adequate but not the best. Having been there I would now know where I would rather sit if possible. I am hoping to go back to the next Nurnberg event and hope to buy an up-graded ticket.

T13 seats

Silver : T13
By Andrea Wilson, 25 Jul 2011
- Excellent seats on Stand T13 because we were in Block H, where we could see the start/finish line.
- The buses from Koblenz were cheap (€14 return) and comfortable, but the last bus left the circuit at 6pm, which was too early. The only other option back to Koblenz was a taxi, which was €90.
- The F1 village at Nurburgring is very good, with lots of stands and paraphernalia for sale.
- The fence at T13 was opened as soon as the cars entered Park Firme, which meant that we could walk onto the track and halfway up the pitlane.
- The weather was freezing cold ... make sure you pack for all weather types at Nurburgring!
- All of the German staff at the track spoke English, which made life very easy!
- The queues for french fries, burgers and drinks were huge whenever the F1 cars were not on the track (about 15-20 minutes). Beat the queues by heading down to the food stalls during qualli or during the race.
- Nurburgring is very clean and very well organised. I would definately go there again.

bring your thermal underwear

Gold : T4 Lower Tier
By trev n kev, 25 Jul 2011
great seats you can see corners1,2,3 &then the return before they hit the back of the track. This location is central and easy to navigate. However this year it was too cold to enjoy it fully. This stand is located at the highest point across the whole valley without anything to break the view nor the chilly wind. If cold weather is forecast bring your full snow/ski suit with balaclava as we froze our proverbials. But at least we were undercover and dry unlike those on the lower tiers of the merc stand beside us.food is terrible. Byo is better.

Experience

Bronze : T9
By Cristian, 25 Jul 2011
I've had a very nice week-end at Nurburgring!
The organization was very very good, everything well signaled and stewards doing their jobs propper.
If you want a good parking place better to arrive as early as possible.
When i left, I waited 1h30min to get out of the parking lot and after that I managed to do 30 km in another 1h30, so my advice:
better than stay in the car and wait, go look around the circuit. After the race is over stewards are not as present, and you can walk around the stands, maybe if your lucky on the track....

Travel early to the site, as we encountered a 24 mile tail back when travelling to the venue on Sunday. I thought that traffic management could have been better.

Camping facilities & information

Bronze : T10b
By Peter Martin, 25 Jul 2011
Tent was fine...did the job - relatively new, clean & all worked. Staff were pleasant & helpful. Presentation on 'what was what' and Q&A session or FAQ sheet would have been very useful. Friday night live band were excellent. Toilet & shower facilities did the job, but toilets needed regular cleaning & didn't seem to get it - you can't leave these and expect 'customers' to manage it for you...they just don't. Why wasn't there a campsite catering service? Chips, burgers, sausages, bacon rolls etc....just basic good quality food at reasonable prices....could have made a killing. Reasonable bar prices was good to see. Had to walk literally miles to get from site to seats & back - bespoke shuttle service would have been good as generic service seemed non-existent. Seats in T10b weren't the best by any stretch...advice on best seats could be given to help those who don't know the track etc. Anyway - this wasn't intended as a whinging & moaning session - we had a great time & would do it again with you...but for some fine tuning here & there, the overall rating could easily go to a 4. Keep it up!!

german GP

Gold : T4 Lower Tier
By ian gatley , 25 Jul 2011
The car park pass for D10 worked well for our tickets and was worth the money.
20 minutes after the race we were in the mini coach on the way to Colonge while others were still coming out of the stands

clients loved the seats, great location, plenty of good viewing of the action and other parts of the circuit.

They just need more food, & drink service points, all over the track. its suprising that the germans cannot get it right, they can cater for huge numbers at the beer festival but cannot do it here. They have a pre pay card system so you cannot pay cash for anything.

One of the all time classic Grand Prix; Lewis in an inferior McLaren wins in difficult climatic circumstances. Both he and Martin Whitmarsh vindicated. Michael Shumacher's probable last stand.

I don't know what you mean by this question

Gold : T4 Upper Tier
By John Davies, 25 Jul 2011
Transport from Cologne and/or Koblenz is really bad, in fact it is just hopeless. You really need to correct this situation. Having no transport from Cologne and the last shuttle from Korbenz at 8.30am on race-day is just not good enough. Otherwise a great race!

Great site and facilities. The only criticism is to do with the circuit and that's about the card system, not being able to use cash.
