Having arrived on the Thursday looking forwards to acquiring one of the few tickets to gain access to the pit walk via Beach park, was our first of many annoyances with the organisers. We were directed to everywhere but beach park by the circuit attendents and when we finally arrived at Beach park we were told there were no tickets available. We were given a free ticket to access the pit straight on Friday after all the circuit action was completed.
We found our way towards to pits, to find we had to barter with the circuit attendents to gain access in the pits/ paddock area as our main tickets did not allow us access. The facilities within this area of the track were much better than at M7. Allow once within here we were told we couldn't gain access to the pit straight to walk it as it was clearly advertised on our ticket. Further dissapointment.
Having previously been to two Singapore GP's and left feeling totally satisfied that everything was organised well and the facilities were of a high standard we were left feeling the opposite here.
The tickets stated no food or drink could be taken into the circuit, although people were taking in cooler bags and boxes. Attendents were removing bottle tops from all bottles due to safety reasons, reasons which I am still unsure about.
The lack of understanding shown by many of the people in the grandstand M7 led to the first few laps going by in a blur as people were standing to see the cars going past. Not impressed!!! Had to repeatedly ask the spanish people in front of us to sit down to allow others to see. The race viewing was hampered by high fences which gave limited viewing of the cars as they braked into turn 8. The TV coverage on the main screen in front of M7 was 2 seconds behind the live racing, which was another frustration!
There was just one merchandise stall and one drinks stall servicing about 10,000 people in M7, which led to very long queing times and again very unhelpful staff managing the stands.
The stands themselves were not very spacious and in the heat i'm surprised no body suffered from heat exhaustion.
Beach Park which was sold as an activity area before and after the race was another let down, with limited bars, food suppliers and entertainment.
No sooner had the race finished we were told to vacate the stands, which was the final tip of the iceberg for us making the decision we would not return to this race in the future. Instead we shall be heading to a much more exciting track, which is better oraginsed with a better race to be seen.
Valencia in summary was a very poorly organised event, in a very poorly run city with very rude people. Not a place I would recommend anyone going to. The sooner this race comes off the F1 calender the happier i'll be.

This was the first time I'd been abroad to watch a Grand Prix and I had a fantastic time.
Its a fantastic place to have a mini break and take in a race. It's an easy ride on the metro from the airport to the track. The staff at the metro were very helpful showing us where to go and how to pay and later top up our metro ticket.
I'd read comments on here about the locals not being too welcoming to anyone in McLaren attire but had no troubles at all personally, everyone was in good spirits.
The space behind our stand (G1) was fairly big and could have been utilised a lot better. A big canopy to provide shade would have been useful and I think they could have made more out of food/drink/merch sales in that respect. Although I can't say any of that bothered me.
Took advice of people on here and put bottle caps in pocket to keep hold of them, plenty of sun cream, cap and sunglasses all needed!
The race wasn't the best, and although our seats were nice and close and we could see 3 corners, it's a pretty quick section so you don't get much action. I'd probably go for a seat in a stand where there's more likely to be a bit of braking if I went again.
Plenty of big screens up so you could follow the rest of the action and all in all had a fantastic time. Yes, being a street circuit, the views aren't the best, and it has tended to struggle to produce good races.
That said, the weather is awesome, the atmosphere is great, its easy to get too and its a wonderful City with a beautiful beach, great places to eat and drink and some fantastic architecture.
The monday after the race parts of the circuit were open to the public so we were able to walk a lot of the track which was good fun too.
If you're looking to see a great race, with great vantage points, I can see why Valencia wouldn't be your first pick! However, as a short break, its a fantastic little trip. Sun/Sea/F1, I'd certainly like to go again!
