Grandstand 46 is alongside the outside of the circuit on the main straight, with the Olympic rowing lake directly behind it. The view from this grandstand is of the cars rapidly approaching and passing you on this straight. Visible action zones: Turns 10, 11, 12

Seat type: Allocated seat

Access: Access to the circuit and an allocated seat in Grandstand 46

Grandstand 34 is the final grandstand in the hairpin section of turn 10. A popular grandstand that sells out quick, it's on the inside of the circuit in Turn 10, offering a view of the whole corner but from further back than the other grandstands. The grandstand is closer to the exit of the corner, so a good place to view the end of any overtaking moves, and cars exiting the corner on to the longest and fastest straight at the circuit.

Visible action zones: Turn 10

The final grandstands at the back of the circuit, Grandstand 31 offers a view of the cars approaching from the back straight, passing under the bridge and then through the right/left chicane (turns 8 and 9) before approaching the turn 10 hairpin. This is sometimes the view of a cheeky overtaking attempt, and drivers are wary of the wall right next to the circuit on the exit of the chicane as contact there is typically race ending.

Visible action zones: Turns 8, 9, 10

Grandstand 24 is placed on the exit of the turn 10 hairpin. From here you can see the approach and exit of this famous turn that has been the scene of many an overtake or accident. Typically, you'll see the result of any overtaking move in turn 10, as the wide exit of the turn allows for the cars to take different lines through the corner and exit at speed from multiple angles. This is also the Lance Stroll fan grandstand.

Why go to the Canadian Grand Prix?

The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is constructed partly from public roads and has proven down the years to be a fan favourite due to its frantic racing, outstanding viewing options and close proximity to downtown Montreal.

From Jenson Button’s epic 2011 win in a near five-hour race, to Robert Kubica’s spectacular crash in 2007, only for him to return and win the very next year, the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal never falls short on drama.

The Wall of Champions, a notoriously treacherous section of the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, awaits attendees of the Canadian Grand Prix.

The 1999 race famously saw World Champions’ Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve all crash into the wall. And in 2011, the Wall of Champions was the source of no less than four crashes in a single opening practice session. It has since been updated for safety reasons but continues to cause havoc, especially among the faster drivers.

Every year, hundreds of Formula 1 fans are disappointed when the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit sells out. Don’t be among them.
