BRITISH FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX

First time that I went to F1 and was great no problems enjoyed it loads thanks a lot.

Although access to the circuit, toilet facilities and grandstand were good, overall value for money was poor and so many missed opportunities. What happened to all the trade stands and stalls from previous years - all that wasted space that could have been used for shopping and simulator stands or car stands to look at inbetween racing. Why no racing after 3pm Sunday?
PA system was CRAP - why can't we hear any decent commentary - especially during build up to race. Could see the screens but could not hear the commentary of what we were seeing. All us fans who have saved to spend 100's of pounds on a grand stand seat but vitrually no entertainment laid on other than the race itself. We are there all day and those who cannot afford expensive hosptiality need other side events going on around the circuit as well as some gripping warm up commentary to listen to while in our seats waiting for race start. Will not be coming again unless changes can be made for us non VIP's !

My first time at Silverstone after waiting over 20 years! Next time, I will take binoculars as it was impossible to see the tv screens - not as large as expected - and fly spray as there were thousands of them there!! It was frustrating not being able to get close to the drivers but then I guess it is possible if you have a huge amount of money to spare. I'll also go for the full 3 days next time. Toilet queues were horrendous but the atmosphere awesome.

The circuit was very easy to find following the map you provided and it was quick to get into the campsite (Woodlands). However once inside the marshals sent use round in circles twice and in the end we had to find our own spot to camp on this took around 1 hour. There were large queues for the toilets and even bigger queues for the showers even in mid-day and they didn't seem to be cleaned very often. The transport to and from the circuit was very good and fast, the tractor trailers came around once every 10-15 minuets. Once inside the circuit it was good apart from not really having enough seating for people who were eating. The view was fairly good from Stowe C, the big TV opposite use could have been closer. After the final race it didn't take us very long to get out around 20 minuets which was impressive after the rumors of mayhem. Over all we enjoyed our weekend. 4 stars.

Thoroughly enjoyable weekend and, in general, the organisation was excellent.
The only slight criticism was the exit from the West 6 car park which involved a convoluted and very long route on a single lane 'farm track' through woodlands, (any breakdowns would cause major recovery problems). Other than that - a great experience - one that I will definitely think about repeating.

It was my first race weekend and I was truly amazed. Not just the f1 but also the support races. I can't recommend it enough!

Excellent - Was very well organised, bus was parked in good location to circuit and buses were ontime in going to and returning from the circuit.

Good arrangements for easy access to food, team shops, after party, etc. Great parking arrangements. Overall well managed!!

Great race enjoyed whole weekend. Parking was only ml he you arrived early and parking attendants were poor and exit from field car parks are impossible to navigate.

My first grand prix, my treat for my sons 25th birthday. Myself and his mum seperated in march 2009 after a 23 year marrage, my son took it quite hard and this was the first time we got to spend quality time together as he had not spoken to me for 18 months. This weekend gave us the chance to relax and get back to our oldselves. We realy enjoyed the experience. could not fault the venue although next year we will look at getting grand stand tickets. The only thing we did find was the organisation of the park and ride, No problem getting on to go to the venue, but saturday the bus driver we had was from lincolnshire and had no idea where sixthfields was he turned off of the A43 at the Towcester r/about and i had to tell him he needed to go back to the r/about and head back for the M1 north and i gave him directions back to the park and ride. Also the bus broke down on a rounabout as it would not select a gear, but managed to get it going again after 2 commercial vehicle machanics explained that he needed to remove the key to re-set the gearbox. Then on sunday we joined a que to get back on the bus and after standing in the que for 45 minutes we could see people just walking up and jumping the que in front of people that had been standing for 30-40 minutes. One last thing the southbound carrageway way of the A43 i feel should be left just for the park and ride buses as we and other buses were in th northbound carrageway for the M1 north, stuck in traffic while other buses and motorists were just sailing straight buy on the oppersite carrageway. I feel that the spectators that used the park and ride like myself to save congestion. That the buses should have all been made to use the southbound carrageway, It took us 15 minutes once on the bus to get out of silverstone but another 1 hour 45 minutes to get back to sixthfields park and ride.

Brilliant weekend, took 8 year old son and we both had a real weekend to remember and will be back next year.
Some areas of circuit and campsite verry muddy - Silverstone need to finish paths etc due to Uk weather.
Catering needs to be more varied - something with chips getsd a bit boring after a while!!

If you've never been to F1 don't let anyone tell you it's boring these days - not when you see it live.

The Club Silverstone location, track position and facilities were well organised and very efficient -very easy to park and very straightforward to get into the circuit. The food and service and facilities were very good and we enjoyed the whole event.
I think that the addition of race statistics and data in an easy to read and digest format would be a good option to include in the package as the big screen display is t0o far away from the stand to read.

Weather lousy but F1 race brilliant. Great park and ride service. So much easier than Moto GP weekend. Still for me not enough toilets, and the ones in use were blocked.

Great Sunday at Silverstone, great racing, British food and weather. Brilliant view from Club Platinum grandstand on Club corner and pit straight. After the race they opened the track and we could get straight to the podium, which is facing Club platinum grandstand and we could see all the parked cars and parts of the celebrations.
To all those wondering when to take off in the morning to get to the track on time: at 8am there was "slow traffic on the A43" reported on BBC travel alerts. We took off from London shortly after 8am. We took the M1, got off at Junction 15a as advised by Silverstone circuit travel info and found no heavy traffic on the A43 all the way to the track after 9:30am. We made the whole trip from London in less than two hours. Going back home was more of a wait, queue on the A43 before Towcester, but the M1 with construction sites all over the place was probably worse than the queue on the A43.

A great atmosphere! Everyone was lovely and there was so much to see and do!

Very enjoyable - maybe more healthier option food could be useful and umbrellas or cheap waterproofs on sale for the unpredictable weather!
Also for first timers to the circuit and guide to the circuit and viewing positions etc...
