Parking facilities

Gold: 1 Pit
By Dr A O Durowoju, 30 Aug 2011
For the ticket type my brother and I purchased I would expect a lot better parking facilities-closer to Gold One Pit especially as we had a young child to cater for.

Access Problems

Gold: 1 Pit
By Dr A O Durowoju, 30 Aug 2011
My brother and I attended the Belgian GP for the first time this weekend with our sons-we made it a boy's weekend. It was a thoroughly memorable weekend and we enjoyed ourselves. The main bones of contention were
[1] access from P 4-5-6 to Gold 1; it took us 1/2 an hour walking through the myriad of tunnels to get to the pit whilst we later discovered we could have gone right at the bottom of the hill gone up to the Total roundabout and turn left to access Gold 1 easily. My brother had a 5 year old boy and the walking especially uphill [on the way back to the car park] took its toll on him;
[2] Your parking attendants were very stingy on the mouse mats during our departure. It would have been nice to have this piece of unique memorabilia.
All in all a memorable wekend and my son and nephew thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.
Hoping to hit the German Grand Prix next year-another boy's weekend

Spa 2011

Bronze: General Admission
By James, 30 Aug 2011
We go back year after year. You have to rough it but it's for the hardcore fans. If you want to experience the true F1 experience then spend 3 days walking round every inch of the circuit. Love it!

Another Awesome Weekend at Spa 2011!

Bronze: General Admission
By Douglas, 30 Aug 2011
If you are coming to the F1 for good weather and nice food then don't bother with Spa. We have been for the last 2 years and it always chucks it down but thats part of what makes Spa so special. The weather goes from warm and sunny to cold and unbelievably heavy rain in a matter fo seconds and then back again. This just adds to the occassion and makes the racing more exciting. The track is unbelievable and whilst it doesn't have the facilities of Silverstone, it has the unbelievably steep eau rouge non-stop viewing points in a forest setting that I can't even begin to describe. It also has other really nice touches like free shuttle buses from the campsite (we stayed at camping eau rouge) & if you you buy the weekend pass you also get a free pit walk on the Thurs. As for the food / drinks, you can have chips, waffles, beer or all three but all are very expensive (as you would expect at any F1 event. We learned from our mistakes last year and took all our beer and food into the track each day. We are already waiting for the tickets to come out for next year!

We had to get to circuit early on sunday to get a good position as not many general admission places as very steep banks, not very seat friendly.

Belgium 2011

Gold: 1 Pit
By GP commenting on GP, 30 Aug 2011
This was my first time at F1 and I picked what I hoped would be the best seats in Gold Pit 1. I wasn't disappointed. Sat directly opposite the McLaren and Ferrari pits you felt at the centre of everything and there were constantly things to watch and enjoy. Yes maybe somewhere like La Source has the opportunity to see some close action but for me you can't beat all that is going on in the pits and the start finish straight. e.g. big screen TV on hand, podium close by, the noise at the start, seeing inside garages (with help of binoculars right inside!), oh and the Grid Girls too! Its maybe not the best rack in the world when it comes to facilities for fans but it provides great racing and a fantastic weekend.

A fabulous weekend at the formula 1

Bronze: General Admission
By A&R, 30 Aug 2011
A fantastic weekend although a little wet and chilly (what else would you expect for August!?) Being British we went well prepared with boots, waterproofs, umbrellas, hats, gloves and a plastic backed blanket all of which we used! The shorts unfortunately remained in the suitcase (maybe next year). We attended all three days and had a very enjoyable stay in a hotel not far from the circuit. Would definitely recommend to any F1 fans.

Everything good but camping

Bronze: General Admission
By Richard, 30 Aug 2011
Had an excellent trip apart from the camping - not because of the rain because we were expecting that. We chose Yellow Camping as that was meant to be a quiet campsite. Unfortunately, a few fools spoiled the campsite. Coming back late from the pub and putting loud music on then being sick outside the tent at 0300. Also, when breaking camp leaving their bags of rubbish where their tents were instead of walking 30 seconds and putting them in the skip which they had to drive past to leave the campsite. Unfortunately most of the vehicles on the campsite were British.

Our advice would be is to make sure you pre book your car park tickets and take a flask of hot drinks as a very small coffee and tea is 3 euros.

I'll be back

Bronze: General Admission
By Frank, 30 Aug 2011
Loved the race and atmosphere.
Parking was an experience - mis-directed by parking staff on my first day and had to make a 30 mile detour!!! Not BOOKF1.com's fault.
Parking on SUNDAY WAS FUN - THEY HAD MOVED THE CAR PARK FROM THE PREVIOUS DAY!!!
Muddy slopes at Radillon not fun!

Spa 2011 Road Trip

Gold: 2 GP2
By Jeremy Salisbury, 30 Aug 2011
Great weekend, excellebnt service from BookF1.com. Only niggle was the seat locations within the stand. Stuck at back in a corner with no view of La Source hairpin or track to our right as view obstructed by a building and hospitality unit. Most of stand (including our seats last year) had a much fuller view of whole straight to Eau Rouge

Action packed racing

Gold: 8 Source
By Ricardo , 30 Aug 2011
I think the stands at Gold 8 were very good. Seats were a bit tight. I larger person cannot fit into the seats. The cover was not sufficiently over the sides of the seats, which meant that rain coming down from the roof would fall onto the seats in row 1 or those on the isles!

The food sellection was poor. Only junk food.

Toilets were good only for the 1st day. From then on, it was questionable whether to use them or wait until you reached the hotel.

None the less, I will certainly repeat in the future.

My First Spa Weekend

Bronze: General Admission
By DwightDynamite, 30 Aug 2011
The circuit is well-run, traffic in and out was without too much delay, and the facilities are excellent - clean restrooms, and reasonably-priced good hot food.
The seasoned visitors stake their claim to the prized viewing spots early-doors - but there are plenty of wide vistas to watch the action approach, or close-up, as you prefer

Excellent job

Bronze: General Admission
By Michael Allan, 30 Aug 2011
Tickets can be bought for cash at the circuit , Bronze Gen Adm , for less than i paid Bookf1 in total , so maybe recheck your commission,
How about a package of seat ticket for Fri , plus Bronze for the sat and sun ? maybe only the circuit could approve that ?
Touts still sell right up to the race , at a discount , outside
Your own personal service was first class, thank you .
I will use Bookf1 again .

Great Racing, Great Track, Great Value - Go Go Go to the Belgian F1

Bronze: General Admission
By Ally Cooke, 30 Aug 2011
8 of us in total have just returned from a throughly enjoyable weekend at the Belgian F1 Grandprix helped by the fantastic organisation of our tickets by BookF1.com.

This place just has to be on everyone's bucket list of tracks to visit before they die. It really could be God's own racetrack, beautifully enveloped by the ardenne forest and blends into the landscape like it was always here from day zero.

Our only complaint was the "shocking" decision by the circuit organisers (or belgian police) in sending all the cars on raceday via a scenic tour off all the small side roads around the circuit rather than putting us straight onto the motorway which they helpfully blocked off.

On qualifying saturday it took us 1 hour to exit the circuit and return to our hotel 50 kms away. On sunday it took us 4.5 hours to travel the same distance. Yes our average speed was just 8 to 9 miles per hour!

But even now we're not going to let that spoil what was a wonderful weekend. Recommend Spa to all F1 fans, definitely recommend BookF1.com to anyone even remotely considering going F1 racing. Barcelona last year, Belgium this year, next year Monza...... keep up the good work Book F1 !!!

Slightly sceptical at first but pleasantly surprised

Bronze: General Admission
By walchst, 30 Aug 2011
What a fantastic w/e. We stayed at Brussels, skipping the Friday, arriving early Saturday morning. After reading the odd complaint regarding concerns over trasportation from previous years I was more then satisfied with the train/bus network. Our Eurostar tickets covered us for the local network 24 pre/post arrival/departure times, which worked out perfectly, even when we stayed the addtional day in Brussels to do the tourist thing.

Belgian F1 GP 2011

Gold: 8 Source
By Rick Siffleet, 30 Aug 2011
From Gold 8 we had an excellent view of the Start/Finish, La Source and the drop down to Eau Rouge. With binoculars we couuld see Radillon and a little of the Kemel Straight. Strategicly placed diamond screen took care of the rest. Car Park 4,5,6 (actually one big field divided by hedges) is one of the closest to the circuit, which is great in one respect but you do have to battle throught pedestrians, other traffic and 'gendarmerie' to get there and on quali/race days this can take some time. All in all, THE motor circuit to see F1 and Historic events. Once in France, only 3hrs (non competitive) driving away, and we stopped for smokes and coffee. On the cards for another one when time and finances allow.

SPA GP

Bronze: General Admission
By Mark Cobban, 30 Aug 2011
The circuit could do more for bronze admission sitting areas event if it was just to tier the steep banks that people have to try and sit on, general comment food and drinks are a complete rip off to the point that the people profiting from them should be ashamed of what they are doing, you expect to pay more but this was beyond ridicules.
