BELGIAN FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX
Below you will find reviews, ratings, and tips on the circuit from other race fans.
Terrible lack of signposting towards Spa F. circuit. Every road we tried to drive down via our Sat Nav was closed, so caused chaos. Belgium stewards unhelpful, both on roads getting to Spa circuit, trying to find your car park you have tickets for, just wave you on in any direction to get rid of you, and in Circuit itself, couldn't be bothered to assist when you ask questions in English, just point you in the wrong direction...not helpful at all. Ignorant not helpful.
Pole seating grandstand, great view, shame that all you had was the stand and some portaloos, in your section, (no drinks/coffee/beer/hotdogs etc) no memorabelia either. Had to walk miles to get anything wanted. Only memorabelia available was outside the circuit entrance itself, nothing inside much at all. (Rogue traders outside circuit, with old/dodgy gear) so would rather buy things in Circuit itself. - didn't happen though.
Nearly got run over approx. 6 times by stupid guys riding around "shuttling the VIPs and paying guests to Paddock Club, and other areas, some in mini-bus, some on quad bikes, and scooters, pushing through pedestrians walking along inside circuit, really dangerous, they go MUCH too fast, esp. scooters/quads.
(if you have young kids with you, so dangerous)
No roof on stand, got VERY WET ...

Pit walk Thursday-park at yellow car park and enter at La Source gate. Get there early or don't bother at all, as the crowd is massive.
General Admission gets you a good view. We settled on the view at Pouhon-good corner with fast downhill approach and plenty of action to see. Park in the Red carpark and enter via Blanchimont gate. You'll be able to get carparking OK on Fri/Sat, but book Sun. beforehand if you want to get near the circuit. If you don't book, you'll have to park 2Km away. There's a shuttle bus to get you to the circuit, but you'll have to walk back after the race. The circuit is fabulous and the racing good, the facilities are the worst you'll find anywhere. Take your own seat, low expectations of comfort and you'll be ok. Go off circuit for food (Just outside the gate at Les Coombes) , it's cheaper and better. I know everyone says it, but take wet weather gear, it WILL RAIN at some point. Basically, don't expect any comfort, expect to be taken for granted by the course officials and you'll have a great time.
