The Kingdom of Bahrain is an island group located off the central southern shores of the Arabian Gulf between Saudi Arabia's east coast and the Qatar peninsula. The largest of these is Bahrain island where the capital city, Manama, is situated. Bahrain island is 48 km long from north to south and up to 16 km wide.
Bahrain International Airport is located on Bahrain island in Muharraq. You can also travel from the mainland about 55km from the island, although a visa may need to obtained to travel between the two. The airport has the usual availability of car hire and taxi services.
The city of El Manama is about 30km from the circuit but the size of the island means there are accommodation options all over. The warm climate has encouraged the majority of hotels to provide an outdoor swimming pool.
Whilst Bahrain's transport infrastructure isn't perfect, the island is small and the circuit is well located so you should not have any problems getting there:
