Better than I ever dreamed of

General Admission
By Andrew, 03 Apr 2009
It was my first ever Grand Prix. The tickets were very good value for money and I would thoroughly recommend the Grand Prix to anyone who is thinking of going next year. The amount of on track action throghout the weekend was incredible. A general admission ticket will certainly suffice for most fans as there are certainly enough great places to view the action from. One tip, book accommodaton and flights as early as possible. Would definately consider doing the same again in 2010.

Seating in Brabham Stand

Brabham
By Jacqui Thomas, 03 Apr 2009
Our seats were in the Brabham Stand - Row R seats 1 & 2. Unless you were in the front row seats 1 & 2 were possibly the worst seats in the stand. Seat 1 is next to a metal barrier and the view - without looking through these bars - was very limited. In the end we took turns in sitting in seat 1 because the view was so bad. Once in seat 1 looking at the screen through the bars was nigh on impossible. Not seats to be recommended.

Melbourne GP 2009

4 Corner - Schumacher
By Toffee Boy, 02 Apr 2009
The numbers on the cars need to be more noticeable - its easy to tell the team cars but it's difficult to tell who is driving - the numbers on the cars are too small and you can hardly see the colours of the helmets because they all look the same.

Sorry, don't understand your meaning

Prost
By Richard Chadburn, 31 Mar 2009
Great 4 days. One little comment - and I know I am not the only person to feel this -- The pit walk was not that worth while. It was not a 'Pit' walk and to see the pits one had to peer through fencing onto closed up bays. Not really very interesting.
Otherwis, well done

Really happy

Jones
By Rob bryant, 31 Mar 2009
Really happy with the way the four days went, i cant fault it.
The only thing that i would comment on is the pit walk on the morning of the race day. It was well organised but it was more a walk of the grid, which was still really good but looking into the pits none of the cars were out and the garage doors were shut so there was nothing to actually see. That is the only thing i would like improved, other than that a fantastic time was had. Cheers.

Great weekend. Great position, well worth having stadium seats. Free and frequent transport to and from track from City excellent. Would do it more often if I was rich.

Oz GP

General Admission
By Kim_Skip, 30 Mar 2009
With General admission tickets, definately take a chair or something to sit on as you can spend a lot of time walking around looking at support race paddocks etc. and trying to find a good place to stand.
The atmosphere is great as the Aussies sure know how to party & enjoy themselves!

THE PIT STRAIGHT WALK IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME ON SUNDAY MORNING , THE EARLY INDICATIONS WERE A PIT LANE WALK THIS DID NOT HAPPEN NOR WERE THE GARAGES OPEN TO SEE INSIDE THE BEHIND THE SCENES WALK ON WENSDAY WAS MUCH BETTER. APART FROM THAT VERY GOOD TRANSPORT ORGANISATION

General Admission
By sam wager, 30 Mar 2009
it was good apart from the mess up at the gates , was told in an e-mail to go to gate 2, went to gate 2 and told to go to gate 1 then told to go back to gate 2. finally got in at gate 2 after over 1 hour waiting around. the trcked needed more toilets near the main viewing areas, not just a few near the bars and restaurants.

General Addmission

General Admission
By Kevin Howden, 29 Mar 2009
The park is huge and getting around could be improved if some common sense was adopted. We were at the last turn and wanted to go out Gate 2 to meet some friends. However security made people walk all the way back round the circuit or leave by Gate 10 and then get a s and a tram back to Gate 1. If we could get across/through Gate 1 it would have been better for all.

Melbourne Experience

By Roy McCordall - UK , 02 May 2008
The service provided by bookF1.com from the minute I booked my ticket to the date I received them was excellent. I would highly recommend their services to anyone travelling to GP's independently. It was my first time back in melbourne in over 10 years. I just love the city, so much to see and do and the weather could not have been better. I took the helicopter ride on race day around the circuit just for something different to remember the weekend by. The viewing at Albert Park was excellent and you could get to most parts of the circuit to see the racing from a different perspective. Melbourne had organised the event well, transport links were excellent and of course there were plenty of souvenirs to be purchased both at the track and in the city centre. If you have the time to do a fly away GP then I would certainly recommend Melbourne, Australia. Had I been able to stay longer or leave for Aussie earlier I would ahve also taken in the World Superbikes at Philip Island. Lucky for me Melbourne Storm also had their first NRL Rugby League match on the Monday evening after the F1. I would also recommend the tour at the MCG combined with the museum for anyone who loves sport. They say Aussie is a once in a lifetime experience, I'm lucky to have been more than once and it's a country that keeps dragging you back for all the right reasons.

Excellent atmosphere

By Australia Grand Prix Fan, 28 Apr 2008
Albert Park is an excellent circuit to attend. There is very much a family atmosphere in general admission. The food and beverages on offer over the weekend were excellent and not priced too steeply. One negative comment is that there was a serious lack of grass due to the heatwave so we got covered in dust/peaty material. It was uncomfortable and destroyed our clothes. It was 39C so also a bit too hot, but you can't control the weather. There was a kiss concert after the race which was cool you can't get that on any other circuit.

GP Australia (Melbourne) 2008

By Australia Grand Prix Fan, 26 Apr 2008
Albert park is a fantastic venue. This years GP final was on a really hot day 40 degrees plus and around 512 degrees on the track. You need to top up with plenty of water and it would be advisable to take a hat and a foldup chair or blanket. Camera shots are difficult through the fencing. A really good zoom would be required. Altold, Melbourne itself is a really nice place, the GP is accessible via Tram routes from the city.
