AUSTRALIAN FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX
Below you will find reviews, ratings, and tips on the circuit from other race fans.
I purchsed a ticket for my son who was in melbourne.BookF1.com were extremely helpful in getting the ticket to me in time for me to send to him from the UK. They kept in constant contact from the dat of booking with the updates. My son had a wonderful day , i would recommend this company very highly and would definitely use again.
Fab weekend, public transport was spot on.
Had a great weekend,a very well organised grand prix
The service provided by bookF1.com from the minute I booked my ticket to the date I received them was excellent. I would highly recommend their services to anyone travelling to GP's independently. It was my first time back in melbourne in over 10 years. I just love the city, so much to see and do and the weather could not have been better. I took the helicopter ride on race day around the circuit just for something different to remember the weekend by. The viewing at Albert Park was excellent and you could get to most parts of the circuit to see the racing from a different perspective. Melbourne had organised the event well, transport links were excellent and of course there were plenty of souvenirs to be purchased both at the track and in the city centre. If you have the time to do a fly away GP then I would certainly recommend Melbourne, Australia. Had I been able to stay longer or leave for Aussie earlier I would ahve also taken in the World Superbikes at Philip Island. Lucky for me Melbourne Storm also had their first NRL Rugby League match on the Monday evening after the F1. I would also recommend the tour at the MCG combined with the museum for anyone who loves sport. They say Aussie is a once in a lifetime experience, I'm lucky to have been more than once and it's a country that keeps dragging you back for all the right reasons.
Albert Park is an excellent circuit to attend. There is very much a family atmosphere in general admission. The food and beverages on offer over the weekend were excellent and not priced too steeply. One negative comment is that there was a serious lack of grass due to the heatwave so we got covered in dust/peaty material. It was uncomfortable and destroyed our clothes. It was 39C so also a bit too hot, but you can't control the weather. There was a kiss concert after the race which was cool you can't get that on any other circuit.
The grand prix in Melbourne was fantastic, the facilities were very good, the people working there were very helpful, and most importantly there was plenty of action on the circuit. It was my first grand prix aswell as my first time in australia and i loved it, i would definitly go again.
Albert park is a fantastic venue. This years GP final was on a really hot day 40 degrees plus and around 512 degrees on the track. You need to top up with plenty of water and it would be advisable to take a hat and a foldup chair or blanket. Camera shots are difficult through the fencing. A really good zoom would be required. Altold, Melbourne itself is a really nice place, the GP is accessible via Tram routes from the city.
first race to go to .wonderful experience. will go again sometime
