ABU DHABI FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX

This is a really excellent race circuit with great facilities and very well organised.

Can you believe this is my 2nd race...both Vettel crashes and both Lewis wins!!!!!

We stayed in Abu City, access to the circuit couldnt have been easier...flag a taxi and 20 mins later your there - with some fantastic views along the way. (Approx £10 each way).

The Circuit is excellent. State of the art, very clean, very safe, secure and hot. But there is plenty of places to sit in the shade, with lots of throws and cushions on the floor to sit on. Many places to eat in F1 villiage, all fast food, but very good value and much cheaper than Istanbul I went to last year.

I had Main grandstand tickets which came with a Pit lane Walk on the Thursday which was a fantastic experience, watching the cars being built and weighed, and Schumi made many appearences on his moped for the fans.

The seats were fabulous, looking straight into Force India garage, with very friendly engineers waving back at me! Great views of the pits, tv, starting/finishing line and podiums for the celebration and trophies. Though do take earplugs as the seats are covered from the sun and the noise echoes.

There is plenty of entertainment going on when the races aren't, autograph sessions, (though I queued for McLaren for 2,5 hrs, got to the front but they had to go. Limited to 15 mins). The concerts after are great too, Britney Spears and Paul McCartney great, nice open air arena. And Ferrari World just a few mins walk away. A tad over priced for what it is, no Alton towers, but the Formula Rossa rollacoaster is amazing!

The track was amazing, the locals are F1 mad and incredibly hospitable, a fantastic week. Cant wait for next year. Top Class!!!

Having travelled to numerous Grand Prix around the world I have to say this was the most spectacular by far. We were sat in block 6 in the West stand and great views of the long straight, last 2 corners and the pit straight, plus a huge tv screen in front of us. I put a request in for these seats with Book F1 and they did not let me down. Thankyou.
The facilities were spotless and seemed quite unusual to have real seats, in a real Grandstand (not just scaffolding), proper indoor eating facilities in addition to fast food outlets, plus real toilets which were very clean.
F1 village was superb with lots to do for a 13 year old.
Getting to and from the circuit was simple. We travelled from Dubai daily and took under an hour plus parking and shuttle bus services were very well organised. Having been sat in a car park at Silverstone for 2 hours this was a world apart. From leaving the circuit to arriving in Dubai took around 90 minutes (60 mile away!!)
To top it all off we are Mclaren fans and could not have wished for a better race.

We had a fantastic weekend at the Abu Dhabi grand prix!!! We drove from Dubai everyday and the journey was easy with the track and car parks well sign posted and well organised. We NEVER had to que for anything, car parking, shuttle buses, entrance to the circuit, entrance to the f1 rocks concerts all extremely well organised. A first class example to the rest of the world of how it should be done

This was our first time watching live F1 and it was amazing. Our view was superb and there was lots to do. Would highly recommend

The venue and facilities within the race track were excellent however, the quality of food was extremely sub-standard. We had to experience 4 days of the rubbish that was on offer, even at the evening concerts the choice was exactly the same ...... I certainly hope they review the quality for next year as everyone we met was of the same opinion and disappointed

This was my second year in a row to see the F1 at Yas Marina but I wonâ??t be coming back anytime soon.
On the plus side:
Great venue with friendly people willing to help you find your way around and easy parking and facility access.
The UAE is a very safe and modern area to visit when compared to some other places on the schedule and a viist to the Liwa Oasis to climb the huge dunes is a must.
Parking passes were included with every 2 tickets and the concerts were also included in the ticket price. We drove from Dubai to the Yas Circuit every day and found the trip to be less than an hour each way even on race day.
On the other side:
The racing at this track is not very exciting as it is very difficult to pass. I have had seats in the North Grandstands the past two years which gives a nice view of the run down to the hairpin but there is no real chance of overtaking except for backmarkers. If I did go again I might choose the South Grandstand if only because it is the end of the DRS zone.
The food at the facility was terrible. I expect and donâ??t mind paying high cost for food at an event like this and I donâ??t mind the limited selectionâ?¦I do understand Iâ??m not going to a restaurant. At Yas Marina Circuit the food quality is so poor that most items cannot be eaten and are pitched in the bin. I heard so many complaints about the food you can not believe. For race fans like me, these are all day events and eating is something one has to do. We started packing sandwiches in and eating in the Red Parking next to the North Grandstand just so we could survive.

From first ordering the tickets to requesting additional information on the seating, and then parking tickets as well, the service received from bookF1.com was superb. The facilities at Yas Marina were brilliant - (however, there were NOT enough water stations which meant we had to buy water) - but transport to and from car parks was excellent - and watching Sir Paul McCartney under the stars after an exciting GP was close to perfect!

Second year running for us . This is the Monaco of the middle east and well done Abu Dhabi for showing the rest of the world how it should be done. Great off track entertainment as well SIR Paul Macartney was fab. Will opt for north stand next year

Fantastic views of race, great facilities but food quality and variety could have been better. Overall a very well organized facility, lots of guides to provide information and directions etc

We attended in 2010 and booked early for 2011, through bookF1 who again gave us excellent service with the best available seats. Yas Marina is a stunning circuit which continues to evolve and the improvements from last year were noticeable. The people at the circuit are friendly, helpful and courteous, at the end of the race they lined up either side of our exit and personally thanked each individual for attending, a heart warming touch.
We went for 8 days this year so also having a break in the sunshine before winter in the UK. On Tuesday we were able to watch the young drivers from the grounds of the Yas Hotel which is a fantastic vantage point and good to get pictures. We stayed on the island so an easy stroll to everything and a party atmosphere at the plaza hotels. My only concern is that greed might kill the golden goose with the hotels charging upto 400% mark up on prices compared to last year, hope I will be there again in 2012. Thank you bookF1

We booked well in advance for tickets for the Abu Dhabi F1. For what we had we thought the price was well worth it. We had good communication with Book F1.com when I needed info. the tickets arrived well in time as we were travelling a week before the race weekend. We had a fabulous time, the seats were good, we had a good view of the Force India pit garages, the whole weekend was amazing and we're glad we booked with book F1 as you always hear of scams and people getting ripped off, but after some research we decided to book with them and everything went well....thanks!
The only critisism I could find is that no parking tickets were sent with the F1 tickets, but we spoke with the ticket office when we got there and they supplied us with some so it was not a problem. The seats we had were right in the sun from about 12pm through to 5, it does get very hot!! We found that we had to leave our seats a couple of times to get in some shade and have a drink for some respite from the sun, from about 5pm the intesity of the some does go so it does get more comfortable from then on. It is really great to watch the qualifying and race go into the night and watch the lights take over from the sun. one last piece of advice....take some sort of ear defenders, I didn't have any for the qualifying session and my ears were still ringing the next morning, bought a pair for the race tho....!!

South Stand some distance away from the main activities, attractions and collection point for fanvision. Security excellent and view from upper South Stand very good - in shade all day which was very welcome.
