CHINESE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX
Pudong International Airport welcomes both internal and international flights and is about 40km from Shanghai. Hong Qiao Airport is closer to the circuit
but is not as large as Pudong. Taxis and shuttle buses run from both airports to downtown Shanghai. Those seeking a thrill
may want to take the Maglev train into town, which can reach speeds of over 400km/hour (keep your air ticket for a discount).
The circuit is in Shanghai so this is the best place to stay. The city offers a good range of accommodation and
has efficient transport links so getting around is easy.
Car rental is available from the major providers at the airports and in downtown Shanghai.
The Shanghai circuit is located on the edge of Shanghai to the north. You may want to consider the following travel options:
- Coach - the circuit runs free shuttle buses from pickup points in Shanghai directly to the circuit.
- Taxi - taxis go to and from the circuit. Try to arrange a pickup in advance to avoid waiting at the end.
- Car - the circuit is on the Jai Lui Expressway, close to the border of the Jiuangsu Province. An eight-lane motorway gives drivers good access to the circuit.
