I wanted to add my comments to this list as there have been some unfounded (in my view) negatives. I've been to the F1 GP at Silverstone every year since 1999 and they really have improved (access, facilities, etc), though of course fans would always be happy to see more. I always get the three day ticket. I had no trouble getting in on any of the days - though you're never quite sure where you are going to end up parking. The only trouble I ever had was when I was issued a specific car park ticket one year, and got marshalled into the general parking queue with everyone else - and ended up in the wrong place. No worries though - if you have a specific car park ticket speak to the first marshall that you see to get in the right queue or alternatively they'll generally let you park in the car park they are currently filling if that's easier. Getting out is a doddle - wait till everyone else has gone home!! There is plenty to do into early evening on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday the after race party is a must. I drove stright out on all three days. Having tried just about every grandstand in Silverstone during my time (and at various events) I plump for Club - you can see the end of the Hanger Straight right round almost to the Bridge bend (some hording may get in your way, depending on your seat location). The fact that you can walk all the way around the circuit is fantastic and well worth doing if you've not been before, or have a roving ticket - then you can pick your best spot personally ready for next year! This is not the case of some overseas GP such as Malaysia where you can only get into the area of the stand for which you have a ticket - not even into the F1 village or to the merchandise stands. Being female I can't comment on the men's toilets(!) but the ladies - though there is inevitably a queue have always been fine - though more would always be welcome (quick tip - don't wait to go until just before or just after the F1 race!!). The range of races, off circuit action and stands keeps me entertained for three very long and thouroughly enjoyable days. Make use of the Silverstone website for specific event info, and listen to radio Silversone, and read noticies in the F1 village for info on driver appearances and other special events. Watch Silverstone TV on the big screens to get a grip on what's gonig on elsewhere on the circuit. Overall (in my view) worth every (if quite expensive) penny. Seeing the drivers on stage in the after show party, and then getting to finish the weekend with a bit of music is just the ticket. Keep it coming Silverstone!! I've used BookF1 for overseas tickets, and their service is second to none - as someone said in one of the other posts - if you want to know just ask!

a very long and tiring weekend but well worth every penny, plenty to do and see off the track and plenty of racing on track ie. formula bmw, gp2, porsche super cup, historic sports car and all the f1. i had roving tickets for friday and sat and bridge corner on sunday, very good for close up pictures if you are quick with a camera as they come out from under the bridge and into a flat out corner and drive away from you in next to no time, not much more of the track can be seen from here due to a tyre wall covering the view round luffield complex. next time i would prefer to sit in woodcote stand which i did on friday for 1st practice, you can see all the luffield corner plus pit straight and entrance and the cars swooping off round copse, and the noise is something else, being a f1 fan for years and my 1st gp it put a lump in my throat. another good place is abbey and stowe. copse is good to see the cars run wide and even end up in the wall if they over do it too much. saturday i sat in the pit straight stand looking down on pole and 2nd place grid positions, good view of pit lane and all going on, i managed to view the whole track between each event on friday which involved alot of walking, but well worth it and would recommend it to anyone who hasnt done it before, being part of the atmosphere is something else, i really loved every min of it and will be doing it again, hopefully silverstone next year if donnington dont get there butt into gear, finally a big thank you to everyone who made my weekend a fab and memorable 1.
