Belgium Grand Prix 2009

Good access from Brussels where there were plenty hotel to choose from. We travelled on a motorbike and would recommend this form of trave for access to and from the circuit. Parking was excellent because of this. We were lucky because the weather was excellent.

Great weekend

, 21 Sep 2009
By Ben and Kelly
We had an excellent time at the race. The tickets were fantastic and we had a great view. The race had a fantastic atmosphere. There were great facilities.

Book F1 were very helpful in communicating the status of the tickets, so that we were able to receive them before we left for the trip.

Otherwise excellent service. Much appreciated.

Belgian F1 weekend 2009

, 21 Sep 2009
By Stephen Tuttle
Had a great time Friday and Saturday, race day was very dissapionting for me. We got to the circuit very early to secure a good space. I had a good view up the back straight, but as time went on, too many people crammed in in front of the big screen. This was not a massive problem as I could still see the screen and had a good view of the track, but when the race started everybody stood up and I could not see much at all. If everybody stayed sitting down then we all would have had a good view. Overall a good weekend, I managed to get some great pictures on Friday and Saturday. I will hopefully go back next year a bit more clued up.

1ST TIMER TO THE BELGIAN FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX

, 18 Sep 2009
By David Nicholls
If anyone is thinking of going to one, get it booked via BookF1. Great service all round. Travelled down on the motorbike from East Anglia. All bikers thing of doing it,do it. Can park right up against entrance gates. Getting to it by car no problem, but leave 1hr after race to miss traffic. Had General Bronze ticket - Great value to walk whole circuit and take in different sites to watch race, loads of room and great views. Ended up at entrance to home straight. Fantasic meeting all F1 fans from across Euorpe. Food/ Drink good value & buying other gear also. Stayed @ F1 camping............... brilliant

BookF1 did a great job in getting me the tickets (I live in Canada) and also providing me with as much information as possible about getting to the track. I also like that you can buy a parking ticket at the same time.

Spa 2009...the best corner in F1

, 09 Sep 2009
By Revs
Really impressed with the customer service from BookF1 - everything managed very well from the schedule of the race to the timely emails to the tickets being sent on time etc. I'd definitely use BookF1 next time I go to a race.
As for Spa, it's a must-see circuit and Eau Rouge is without doubt the best corner in F1. Yes it's easy for the cars to take at full throttle these days but the sight of them coming down the hill, turning the corner and going up the hill has to be seen to be believed - TV doesn't communicate the sheer scale of the drop and the rise!

Great weekend but terrible view!

, 07 Sep 2009
By Lara
We had a fantastic time at the race but the view was terrible! the stand had been badly placed in the area so you couldn't see the corners (where the major crashes happened!) If we hadn't had Kangeroo TV we would have had no idea what was going on in the race.
On the circuit map it looks like you have a great view but we would have been better saving our money and standing in the Bronze zones which all had better views- or spending more on gold stands!

Me and the lad on a mens weekend away.

, 06 Sep 2009
By Tony Villanueva
Stayed in Bruxells which was excellent. We travelled by train to Verviers and bus to circuit. Trains were excellent bus was busy but no real fuss. Doddle compared to Silverstone.
Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. Its full on traveling and walking but thats what its all about. Can't wait to do it again money permitting.

Belgium F1 GP Spa-Francorchamps

The red parking is really far from motorway & took over 3 hour to get out from red parking area. You also park on the street & not in field like green parking area which is much closer to motorways. Otherwise an awesome weekend & experience

We were seated in Silver 4 Bruxelles. We were told that we would have a Giant Screen in front of us. This was not true. In fact, the Giant Screen was located on the same side of the track as us and was too far away to look at. You couldn't even read who was in the lead or anything. This is unfortunate, as it took away the enjoyment of the event. We felt that even though we were at the race we really didn't know what was going on.

In comparison to Canada...

, 03 Sep 2009

Eau Rouge is an interesting piece of pavement, but it's such a small part of the entire track. F1 cars do not go side-by-side up the hill, so there's never any passing or other intrigue unless it rains. My seats were at the top of the grandstand, so I could see all the way from Le Source to the top of the hill, but what you really want to do is see around the corner to the straight that fallows Eau Rouge. I frequently saw cars take lines through Eau Rouge that I suspected lead to some good racing on the straight, but I'd never know because you can't see around the corner and over the hill.

Given the chance to do it over again I'd be tempted to get tickets at Les Combes.

SPA

, 03 Sep 2009
By Chris Severin
Absolutely sensational!!!

Set in beautiful countryside, everything you've heard about Spa being for propper race drivers and for proper race fans is absolutely true. Yes its difficult to get to, yes the toilets etc arn't as fancy (i imagine) as the new tracks, yes you are likely to get wet at some point of the weekend and yes the food and drink is super expensive but hell is it a weekend you'll never forget. I watched qualifying from the bottom of Eau Rouge and having been to Silverstone and Barcelona, this was far and away the most enjoyable individual experience.

Great access to the cicuit parked in the prebooked Green Zone and only had a short walk to the circuit.

Getting in the car park was fone but getting out took 2 hours which was a bit tedious but did not spoil a great day.

Facilities were OK but a bit basic on WC's

Spa 2009

, 03 Sep 2009
By Stevie...Ferrari Fan
Overall had a great weekend! The weather was good which definitely is a bonus at Spa. We stayed in Cologne, across the border in Germany (flew in to Dusseldorf), and travelled each day to the circuit. It took about 90 mins but was no hassle at all...only the return journey after the GP was a nightmare...it took 4 hours to get down the hills from the track and back on to the Autobahn. Facilities are fairly basic at the circuit...not a great selection of food available...take your own. Also take your own toilet paper!!! Shopping is limited and not all the teams were represented...very disappointing! Would go again though...didnt really appreciate how the circuit climbs and dips from the TV coverage...good atmosphere from the crowd! Worth a visit!

Great circuit - in the middle of nowhere!

, 02 Sep 2009
By Sheena & Colin
The track is fantastic, and so is the race! The facilities are basic at best. Transport to and from the circuit is patchy, and from certain nearby towns there is no transport at all - infact the town of Spa is almost impossible to get to and from! That aside, the whole weekend was thoroughly enjoyable - and we will want to go again! If you are going, try to get an hotel in either Francorchamps or Verviers (unless you hire a car!)
