Great weekend, lots to do and see, but be carefull walking around if you go through a gate one way you might find that you cannot go back that way, which doesnt make any sense! Great time over all though!!

Going down under for the 1st Time.

, 17 Apr 2009
By Lee
Going to our first Grand Prix was an absolutely brilliant experience with the weather, the friendly crowd, and the entertainment adding to a great climax when all cars converged on the 1st corner at the start of the 1st race of the season. We arrived by taxi to the event for ease but plenty of transport was provided even by Harley Davidson motorbikes if you wanted. We had an added bonus of watching over 20 ferraris of all kinds and the occasional Lambourghini cruise up and down Lygon st in the CBD on the Saturday night. What more can i say!! A fabulous time was had by all the family.

How to organise a race meeting.

, 15 Apr 2009
By Sam and Jenny, very happy spectators. Go Jenson
We had ADVANTAGE tickets through Book F1 and only found out how good these were when we arrived in Melbourne. We did not know but they alowed you a visit behind the scenes on the Wednesday before the main event started on the Thursday, we missed this opportunity, only finding out the day after from others with advantage tickets. We also had private bar areas at the side of the track at each end of the main pit strait stand, Fangio. These were invaluable for getting some shade and we whatched the end of saturday qualifying from this area, absolutely brilliant. The park is spacious with picnic areas if you take your own refreshments but the food and drink supplied at the circuit were excellent and very reasonably priced with no huge queues, nothing like a british event then.Special trams to and from the city meant that we saw qualifying that finished at 6.00pm, at the tram stop at 6.10, in the city at 6.20 and the hotel at 6.30. Brilliant organisation with helpful friendly people,We cannot praise it highly enough, eat your heart out Silverstone.

Australian Grand Prix

, 14 Apr 2009
By Lizzie
We had an expensive seat as it was the only one that was a covered stand. There was a very small cover to the stand but it did not protect the seats at all so we were in full sun at all times and because there was a 'cover' it actually did not allow the breeze through so it was just like sitting in an oven. Also because the Prost Premium is right at the back of the stand and quite a long way from the tv screen it was impossible to see any of the times etc. So a big disappointment. Also there was virtually no shade at all anywhere on the site unless you were lucky enough to grab the odd seat under a food/beer parasol.

sunburnt in aussie

, 12 Apr 2009
By brogan
all seating have not got any form of viewing (not like stowe at silverstone) but at least there are decent big screens. transport from melbourne is free, frequent and reliable and straight into the circuit. food around the circuit was fair, not hot, but varied, and you need a bank loan for a pint of beer! BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY. ps dont forget your sun screen!!!!!!!!

Track map and schedule should be included with all ticket packages. should not need to buy a race program for this basic information.

australian grand prix 2009

, 09 Apr 2009
By David Millam
I enjoyed the grand prix , I was very disappointed in my seat allocation . I was in the schumacher stand block A , It was impossible to view the big screen because it was at such an angle .we had to stand at the back behind section D to view but then because it was twilight the sun reflected on it so you couldnt see it .I watched most of the grand prix from the general admission area where was big screen that we could see , Next year I would just get general admission there where plenty of great viewing places and better atmosphere for a quarter of the cost

Better than I ever dreamed of

, 03 Apr 2009
By Andrew
It was my first ever Grand Prix. The tickets were very good value for money and I would thoroughly recommend the Grand Prix to anyone who is thinking of going next year. The amount of on track action throghout the weekend was incredible. A general admission ticket will certainly suffice for most fans as there are certainly enough great places to view the action from. One tip, book accommodaton and flights as early as possible. Would definately consider doing the same again in 2010.

Seating in Brabham Stand

, 03 Apr 2009
By Jacqui Thomas
Our seats were in the Brabham Stand - Row R seats 1 & 2. Unless you were in the front row seats 1 & 2 were possibly the worst seats in the stand. Seat 1 is next to a metal barrier and the view - without looking through these bars - was very limited. In the end we took turns in sitting in seat 1 because the view was so bad. Once in seat 1 looking at the screen through the bars was nigh on impossible. Not seats to be recommended.

Melbourne GP 2009

, 02 Apr 2009
By Toffee Boy
The numbers on the cars need to be more noticeable - its easy to tell the team cars but it's difficult to tell who is driving - the numbers on the cars are too small and you can hardly see the colours of the helmets because they all look the same.

Sorry, don't understand your meaning

, 31 Mar 2009
By Richard Chadburn
Great 4 days. One little comment - and I know I am not the only person to feel this -- The pit walk was not that worth while. It was not a 'Pit' walk and to see the pits one had to peer through fencing onto closed up bays. Not really very interesting.
Otherwis, well done

Really happy

, 31 Mar 2009
By Rob bryant
Really happy with the way the four days went, i cant fault it.
The only thing that i would comment on is the pit walk on the morning of the race day. It was well organised but it was more a walk of the grid, which was still really good but looking into the pits none of the cars were out and the garage doors were shut so there was nothing to actually see. That is the only thing i would like improved, other than that a fantastic time was had. Cheers.

Great weekend. Great position, well worth having stadium seats. Free and frequent transport to and from track from City excellent. Would do it more often if I was rich.

Oz GP

By Kim_Skip
With General admission tickets, definately take a chair or something to sit on as you can spend a lot of time walking around looking at support race paddocks etc. and trying to find a good place to stand.
The atmosphere is great as the Aussies sure know how to party & enjoy themselves!

THE PIT STRAIGHT WALK IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME ON SUNDAY MORNING , THE EARLY INDICATIONS WERE A PIT LANE WALK THIS DID NOT HAPPEN NOR WERE THE GARAGES OPEN TO SEE INSIDE THE BEHIND THE SCENES WALK ON WENSDAY WAS MUCH BETTER. APART FROM THAT VERY GOOD TRANSPORT ORGANISATION
